Kaszyk’s anti-aging spray a hot item
by Debra Gruszecki and Monica Torline
Jim Kaszyk was a chemist with a background as colorful as the periodic table of elements when the idea of natural healing was thrust on him.
His father had an incurable heart condition and decided to quit taking medication that made him feel even worse than he already was. His son, who held a degree in chemistry from the University of Massachusetts, started studying everything he could about herbs and natural healing.
That was where the road for Kaszyk’s anti-aging spray, The Ageless Secret, started.
The hydrating mist is made of purified water, biosulfur, aloe and trace minerals. Customers say it improves their skin elasticity and overall complexion.
It took years of development – at one point evolving from a natural shampoo Kaszyk was making – before the spray emerged on the market about seven years ago.
It’s sold at about a dozen health food, wellness, and skin care shops around the Coachella Valley. It also is distributed through Whole Foods Market locations in New England.
Kaszyk and his wife, Paula, moved from Rhode Island to Palm Desert about three years ago to grow sales of the product, which retails for $35.99 to $149.99 for a 4-oz bottle depending on the formula.
“Were just really small right now” he said on Tuesday. “Were preparing to handle the growth at this point.”
Sales are stronger than ever, he added, in addition to customer referrals, new clients are coming in because they are putting off more expensive surgical procedures, he said.
“I can’t keep it in stock”, said Anna Liisa Nawrocki, who sells The Ageless Secret at her Facials by Anna Lissa in Palm Desert. The 61 year-old uses the spray daily and is often mistaken for a woman in her 40’s. “This chemist is wonderful.” ?
